The main groups of the Bank are Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking, International Banking and Treasury.

Job Purpose:

To manage the operational aspects of card business and interface with IT

Accountabilities:
  1. Card Production & Maintenance Unit : Ensure the unit meets the ‘We Promise’ targets
  2. Settlement: Ensure that the unit functions at optimal levels and the General Ledgers are reconciled regularly and issues are brought to the attention of the management.

  3. Chargeback Unit: Ensure the unit adheres to the rules / timeframes specified by MasterCard & VISA and our operational losses are minimized

  4. Fraud Management Unit: To effectively control the fraud losses at the same time ensure that we do not lose business opportunities.

  5. Merchant Operations Unit: To provide operational support to the Merchant Acquiring business and ensure that we reduce our operational losses

  6. Customer Service Unit: To serve the walk-in customers effectively and to ensure that the customer complaints are redressed within agreed timeframes.

  7. Manager IT interactions: To effectively utilize the IT resources, in building systems that help business generate more revenue and reduce costs.

Generic Accountabilities:

  1. Leadership & People Management: Exhibit strong leadership by managing performance, developing and motivating staff

  2. Policies & Procedures: Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures

  3. Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with all CBK, GB operational procedures, Risk and AML policies and procedures.

Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

Education / Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Financial Management / Banking

Knowledge

Strong knowledge in credit administration and collections

 Experience

 8 – 10 years in banking preferably in credit administration / collections / credit cards divisions

Generic & Specific Skills

  • Conceptual & Analytical Thinking
  • Project Management
  • Good Communication skills
  • Proficient in IT (MS Office
  • Excellent understanding of Card Business
