The main groups of the Bank are Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking, International Banking and Treasury.

Job Purpose:

To optimize the security posture of the Bank by ensuring top level of security & enforcing industry best practices and standards

Accountabilities:
  1. Managing responsibilities for the operation and administration of the bank’s IT security systems including supervision of project assignments, workload schedules and provisioning of training and development needs for the security team

  2. User and System monitoring using tools such as SIEM, FIM, DLP etc. to ensure compliance both with internal security policies and applicable laws and regulations

  3. Supervise day-to-day operations within the security team

  4. Supervise / Manage internal and external firewall policies for the entire bank’s infrastructure including Web Application Firewalls for internet facing applications such as Online Banking, E-Gulfbank etc

  5. Identifying Vulnerabilities and Risks on the network

  6. Define, implement and govern security controls to include periodic testing for effectiveness, reporting, quality documentation and audit trails

  7. Develop formalized processes for security testing to monitor and improve security levels

  8. Oversee regulatory audits and vulnerability assessments performed by the Bank's internal, external and regulatory authorities

  9. Develop & enforce security hardening procedures in accordance to the industry specific standards

  10. Co-ordinate Patch management across the IT infrastructure ensuring all systems are in line with the banks security standards.

  11. Leading information security risk assessments and controls selection activities using GRC

  12. Leading activities relating to contingency planning, business continuity management and IT disaster recovery in conjunction with relevant functions and third parties

  13. Participate in IT activities and take required measures to ensure that the standards have been adhered to

  14. Review all changes related to security device configuration for technical accuracy and impact assessment

Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

Education / Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business / Information Systems

Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge about Consumer Banking Products and Customer segments. Sales analysis and Sales support & administration of all Sales related activities

Experience:

  • Having 6 - 7 years of experience in a similar role.

  •       MS Office Expert and other relevant IT skills
