About Gulf Bank

Gulf Bank was established in 1960 and has since progressed to becoming an industry-leading financial services provider complemented by a large network of 55 branches strategically positioned in key locations across Kuwait.

The main groups of the Bank are Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking, International Banking and Treasury.

Job Purpose:

To assist in crafting and managing Gulf Bank’s overall reputation in the external world and enhance the Bank’s image in the media and with various stakeholders

Accountabilities:
  1. External communications – manage strategic communications to media, stakeholders, etc. Work to increase banks share of voice.

  2. Corporate communications – manage and coordinate of needed communications, including website update of communications materials. Responsible for planning and coordinating the Bank’s press releases across all activities and for all stakeholders.

  3. Public relations –  plan, manage, and coordinate all public relations activities for the Bank.  Including response to CSR and sponsorship requests

  4. Event managements – manage and coordinate events, along with internal events team, and sponsorship events as needed

  5. Relationship building – develop relationships with media, youth groups, media, and other potential stakeholders

  6. Awards – solicit and complete applications process for international and local awards for Bank and its products and services

  7. Corporate Social Responsibility – As needed, respond to requests, initiate and plan events, and follow through with sponsorships.

  Generic Accountabilities:

  1. Customer orientation, work closely with Bank segments and teams to develop alliances and promote the Banks work

  2. Processes – establish effective policies and processes for optimal functioning of department

  3. People – actively seek out and develop relationships which benefit the Bank

Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

a)   Education / Qualifications: Degree in Marketing / Advertising/Media Management

b)   Knowledge: in depth understand of communications, public relations, and marketing

c)   Experience: 5– 10 years relevant experience on client side
