The main groups of the Bank are Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking, International Banking and Treasury.

Job Purpose:

To acquire new merchants and support all aspects of sales, installation and administration.

Accountabilities:

Sales Management

  • Follow all relevant procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Approach new merchants to achieve POS & PGW sales target
  • Ensure installations, replacement or additional terminals proceed in line with timeframe and merchant requirements with the team leader
  • Training and maintain relationships with merchants that assigned as per Unit List
  • Ensure the daily visit report is updated
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Customer Relations

  • Action merchants' and customers’ request for installations, replacements etc
  • Visit merchants to provide training
  • Provide and advise on marketing materials
  • Carry out monthly relationship visits and address issues
  • Summarise or escalate merchant issues

Internal Service Management

  • Meet branches POS & PGW requirements through branch visits
  • Follow up with branches to ensure timely resolution of problems/maintenance

Reports & Coordination

  • Provide information and reports on number and status of merchants
  • Carry out administration related to merchant acquisitions and merchant issues

Generic Accountabilities:

Corporate governance & compliance: Work fully within risk policies & procedures and all compliance regulations

 

Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

Education / Qualifications:  Advanced Diploma / Diploma in Banking Operations or equivalent certification

Knowledge: Basic knowledge of MasterCard, Visa and Amex card products, functionality & rules

Experience: 1 - 2 experience in Sales relating to a credit card business environment and basic knowledge of MasterCard, Visa and Amex card products, functionality & rules

Generic & Specific Skills:

  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Bilingual in Arabic and English
  • Good Communication skills
  • Telephone Etiquettes
  • Interpersonal Skills
